Long time no post... =/
This is just a quick update as to whats been happening in the last month or so. havnt really had much time to play, as have been shoveling lots of snow... and figuring out how to play sims without my laptop crashing... (did find a way, it only does it while on charge, so i'm updating while its charging so i can play some more =] )
Due to the laptop crashing during a save with my new family (the girl who wants to be 10 sims girlfriend) I lost the whole of that saved game... But started a new one, but have given it a rest to go back to my old game =]
Mandy and Janet grew into young adults, Janet got the workaholic triat, and Mandy got the childish one.
They then moved out together.
4 rainbow gems were found within a day!!! yet still no pink one... =@
Ameilia got a promo to Squadran Leader. =]
Courtney is the only child to still be living in the family home, and is now the owner of EVERY business in town, as she has too much money to spare... lucky for some....
Have set lifespan to normal (90 day life) as game was getting too long and boring.. =L
Courtney, while realising time was short, went on the search for a man.
Theron Bachelor caught her eye. (the first non-elder/teen male sim she found =L)
found the stance rather amusing =]
They started dating, but he refused to get engaged to her, and couldnt get her pregnant...
so she dumpted him =]
Ameilia got a phone call one day, she is close to loosing her job, due to her extream lack of athletic skill, she had 2 levels, and needed 10 =S she is up to 8 now, and still working on it =]
She also wasn't bestest budies with her boss =L
Courtney soon met Brendon Wolff, and they soon started dating
They got engaged, and married in a private wedding, and Courtney got pregnant, and wanted a boy =]
they had a boy, called Ewan, he got the good and friendly triats =]
Ameilia got a promotion, and Ewan grew into a toddler =]
I think he's more than a little drunk..... he loves that post box... =L

The mysterious mr gnome.....
Mysterious Mr. Gnome is a special item found in The Sims 3.
This unique garden gnome can be found when a Sim chooses to "Explore The Catacombs" at the graveyard, as a random event while fishing, within Ore or Gems when they mail them to their respective refiners, or as an 'acquisition' from being promoted in the thief career.
The Mysterious Mr.Gnome is nameable, has an orange hat with a yellow star shaped flower on it with a brown center, a long gray beard, blue button down shirt and red pants and shoes of an odd brown-tan color. The Mysterious Mr.Gnome is kickable, like any gnome, but unlike a regular garden gnome he cannot be cloned with the eyedropper tool, and has a habit of sneaking around the house. The player will never see the gnome sneaking around, but he pops up in all sorts of places that he was never put in. If really, really lucky he can be seen popping from one position to another.He changes place on the lot at about 1:00 a.m.. If kicked, he falls in odd positions that are unexpected from a gnome and sometimes ends up with a plaster across the bridge of his nose, and when picked up, is known to float on air, do hand stands and assume other theatrical positions.
Even if walls are built without a door around him, The Mysterious Mr. Gnome will still pop up anywhere outside.
A high level Sim in the science career track can perform a scientific experiment on Mysterious Mr. Gnome.
It appears that despite his happy nature of running around a lot, this Gnome, like all others, has nothing at all to do with gardens.
The Mysterious Mr. Gnome is worth §1,000 and is quite a funny fellow to have in a house at night.
Master Manchu, Little Leon and Sultan Sam are all different magic gnomes with the same abilities found in World Adventures.
The Mysterious Mr. Gnome has been spotted in the vicinity of the following mysterious happenings:
Flushing Toilet
Stereo turning on
Watching T.V.
Sleeping under a shade tree
Inside the Fridge
Pointing at death plant with look of fear on it's face
Sitting on bar (probably getting drunk and enjoying the view)
Dancing in front of money trees (stereotypical Russian dance pose)
Sitting on a fountain bench
Leaning over in front of a barbeque grill
Appearing beside a bed that a Sim is asleep in
Sunbathing on an island in the middle of a pool
Kissing another gnome
Making silly faces at a fish in a fish bowl
He appears on pictures made in World Adventures
If you happen to have two, they will frequently appear at the front door pointing and looking at something in fear
Laying and looking at a large space rock (enstatite chondrite)
It has been confirmed that a Sim can have multiple Mr. Gnomes. Try looking and using all techniques to obtain him.

GARDENING HELP, and a little on my new family =]
Okay, I was getting bored of my old family a little, so i started another game with just 1 girl, who wants to have been the girlfrfiend of 10 different sims, lol. She is REALLY lucky tho... coz she found both a rainbow gem and a pink diamond REALLY quickly, in otherwords, she was less than a sims week old (started at young adult).

"In this section of my Sims 3 Gardening Guide, I'll be give some help in finding all the seeds in the Sims 3. If you've read this far, you know that you can grow plants from multiple sources. I'll list the sources here, just to be thorough. Some plants in the Sims 3 do have a level requirement before you can plant them. For example, uncommon plants can't be grown until level 5. So start with some basic cooking ingredients to help you out in the kitchen! Other plants, like the omni plant and cheese plants require opportunities to be completed in order to make them available. Look to the gardening opportunities page for a rundown of the opportunities you need to knock out in order to access the most bizarre plants in the Sims 3.
About Seeds in the Sims 3
People ask about where to find certain seeds for gardening in the Sims 3. The truth is, you've just got to get out there and look. No one can really tell you where to find a specific seed. The good thing is, you can usually see seeds and other collectible items (such as ores, which can be quite valuable) from a high altitude of view.
The special seeds in the Sims 3 are random, so when you find one, you'll never know what it is until you've planted it. So, when you find a special seed spawn point, keep checking back there to find more special seeds, which can be any of the four types.
Rare and uncommon seeds aren't anything to get excited about, as they're usually bell peppers and things like that. The real perk here is that you can sometimes find perfect or outstanding quality seeds that can really get your garden booming, and your bank account stuffed with simoleons.
This means you can get your Sim out in the town and scan the ground for seeds in many locations. Using this tactic, your Sim will even take a cab if they need to, to get to seeds you discover that are far from their current location. Additionally, once you have a seed and make a successful adult plant, you will usually be able to make more of that plant without finding more seeds.

Help with Unknown Special Seeds
The only plants that you can't grow with gardening from a store-bought variety are the death flower, life fruit, flame fruit, omni plant and money tree. They can be planted with level 7 gardening.
If you find uncommon or rare seeds, don't get excited unless they are high quality. There's hardly anything rare or special about bell peppers and garlic seeds, as you'll quickly learn from the list.
All seeds you find on the ground can be useful if you are working toward the Perfect Garden lifetime wish. You may find excellent, outstanding or even Perfect seeds just laying around. The only way to know for sure is to look!
Finding Special Seeds in Sunset Valley
You can find spedial seeds at (and outside) the cemetery in Sunset Valley. They are found on both of the long sides. There are plenty to be found there. Check along roads in remote locations, as well. The graveyard should provide all you need if you regularly collect the seeds that spawn there.
Omni Plant
Although you'll find unknown special seeds pretty commonly, you're unlikely to find an omni plant seed until you've completed the Omnificent Plant Opportunity at level 10. This is a chain, which requires you to plant multiple types of high quality plants to complete. It's well worth it because the Omni plant is amazing and you can readily order its seeds through the mail.

When you finally manage to get 1 rainbow gem, you end up with 2, and no pink diamond... ¬,¬
Courtney found a Rainbow gem in the catacombs, I beleive she was swinging a cross a nicly placed rope, and grabbed it off a ledge accross the cavern. {She ten went over to the crime job place and found one lying on the ground :@ }

promotions, birthdays, promotions and some new people =]
Magenta got a promotion to Intake specialist. Whereas Bill and Courtney both got a promotion to Book CLub Moderator =]
Magenta soon got another promotion, to Ringer Up-er =] she's fair moving up the ladder at the spa =]
Ameilia got a promotion to Squad Leader. And had her birthday to become an elder =]
Dani got a promotion to Epiraph Writter, basicly the one who engraves head stones =p
Bill grew into a young adult, and was gifted with the charasmatic trait =]
He loves that guitar...
Noel also had a birthday, but only grew into a teen, he is also now a specialist in trashy novels and got a job at the spa as a clothes folder =L
Mandy and Jenet became children, Mandy got the computre whiz trait, and Janet got the frugal trait =] Mandy still has the dark hair, and Janet still has the longer lighter hair
Courtney grew into a young adult, and got the kleptomainiac trait, she's already stolen about 3 things =]
Dani grew into a young adult, and got the brave trait, but he soon moved out =[ but look at him overlooking noels latest novel =]
Bill got a girlfriend, Cori Alto, thats them \/
Courtney got a new job, in the criminal career track, and her new boss is her aunt Nell Brown =]
Bill moved out to live with Cori =]
Magenta grew into a young adult, and got the trait bookworm. She got a job in the business career, became Jamil Steven's girlfriend, they soon got engaged, and moved out together.
Ameilia got another promo, to flight officer.
Courtney, while exploring the catacombs, got mauled by a bear. Then the next day, a zombie bear lept out of a coffin and scared her =L
Noel got a promo to fitting room guard ;)
Janet and Mandy became teens, and Janet got the daredevil trait, so everything she does is now extream, and Mandy got the filrty trait
We got a tanzenite gem, which we'd sent off to be cut, back in the post, with a little noteto say it was acctually a Mysterious Mr Gnome in disguise =L (we've ended up with a few now, through the catacombs and hidden ones in gems and ores.)
Mandy got a job at the bookstore, and Janet got a job at the spa.
With only a few days left untill the natural end of her life, Ameilia transfered all of her ownership deeds to Courtney.
Courtney then reached level 10 in gardening.
Ameilia then got a promo to Wingwoman.
Noel then got a promo to Spa package seller.
Courtney found a RARE rainbow butterfly!!!! If only she could find the rainbow gem instead....
Noel grew into a young adult, and got the brave trait
(he nicked Dani's room.)
Courtney bought out the hospital for 75 grand, and the crime HQ for 35 grand, and the corp. towers for 40 grand. She then got a load of gems and ores back being claimed as Mr Gnomes.
Noel met Trisha Samuels, and became her boyfriend.

Sarah has died (need sound for the second video)
as you may be able to tell, Sarah died, in a fire, which had nothing to do with me ^,^
Leighton soon followed in her steps.
However, he was saved from death, coz he had a special seed in his inventory, which must have been for a death folwer plant, give one to the grim reaper and you will be given a second (or even hundreth) time.

Leighton acctually died then.
Ameilia is pregnant again.
Bill and Courtney got part time jobs at the bookstore.
Dani got a part time job at the mosoleum (the graveyard)

Ameilia had twins, both girls. The first was Mandy, with the traits loves outdoors (didnt choose) and friendly. The second was Janet, with the traits heavy sleeper (didnt choose) and excitable =]

she also got a new job, in the military as a latrine cleaner (i cant remember if i mentioned that she quit her job in the scince career after the first day =] )

Dani's birthday, I gave him a new trait of kleptomaniac =] he soon managed to "borrow" someones trophy cabinate, and some little kids toy =]
Leighton got a promotion to Con Artist.
Ameilia had a baby boy, called Noel, he ended up with the good and virtuoso traits, even tho i didnt get to choose them =]
Leighton reached lever 10 in the fishing skill =]
Magenta had a birthday, grew into a child, and got the trait computre whiz.
Bill grew into a teen, and got the trait Good sence of humor.
Courtney mastered the toy oven.
Ameilia went on a shopping spee, she bought out the partners of the theatre for 40000, she became a partner of the hospital for 30000, also a partner at Doo Peas Corporate towers for 18000 and finially became a partner at the Outstanding Citizen Warehouse corp. for 15000.

Noel had a birthday to toddler, learned to walk talk and use the potty
Leighton got another promotion, this time to safe cracker, which is the first step in the theif branch.
Ameilia has now earned ov er 30000 grand in royalties for her books, which means shes completed the speed writer skill challenge =]
Noel mastered the xylophone.
