This is just a quick update as to whats been happening in the last month or so. havnt really had much time to play, as have been shoveling lots of snow... and figuring out how to play sims without my laptop crashing... (did find a way, it only does it while on charge, so i'm updating while its charging so i can play some more =] )

Due to the laptop crashing during a save with my new family (the girl who wants to be 10 sims girlfriend) I lost the whole of that saved game... But started a new one, but have given it a rest to go back to my old game =]

Mandy and Janet grew into young adults, Janet got the workaholic triat, and Mandy got the childish one.

They then moved out together.

4 rainbow gems were found within a day!!! yet still no pink one... =@

Ameilia got a promo to Squadran Leader. =]

Courtney is the only child to still be living in the family home, and is now the owner of EVERY business in town, as she has too much money to spare... lucky for some....

Have set lifespan to normal (90 day life) as game was getting too long and boring.. =L

Courtney, while realising time was short, went on the search for a man.
Theron Bachelor caught her eye. (the first non-elder/teen male sim she found =L)

They started dating, but he refused to get engaged to her, and couldnt get her pregnant...

so she dumpted him =]

Ameilia got a phone call one day, she is close to loosing her job, due to her extream lack of athletic skill, she had 2 levels, and needed 10 =S she is up to 8 now, and still working on it =]
She also wasn't bestest budies with her boss =L

Courtney soon met Brendon Wolff, and they soon started dating

They got engaged, and married in a private wedding, and Courtney got pregnant, and wanted a boy =]

they had a boy, called Ewan, he got the good and friendly triats =]

Ameilia got a promotion, and Ewan grew into a toddler =]

The mysterious mr gnome.....

Mysterious Mr. Gnome is a special item found in The Sims 3.

This unique garden gnome can be found when a Sim chooses to "Explore The Catacombs" at the graveyard, as a random event while fishing, within Ore or Gems when they mail them to their respective refiners, or as an 'acquisition' from being promoted in the thief career.

The Mysterious Mr.Gnome is nameable, has an orange hat with a yellow star shaped flower on it with a brown center, a long gray beard, blue button down shirt and red pants and shoes of an odd brown-tan color. The Mysterious Mr.Gnome is kickable, like any gnome, but unlike a regular garden gnome he cannot be cloned with the eyedropper tool, and has a habit of sneaking around the house. The player will never see the gnome sneaking around, but he pops up in all sorts of places that he was never put in. If really, really lucky he can be seen popping from one position to another.He changes place on the lot at about 1:00 a.m.. If kicked, he falls in odd positions that are unexpected from a gnome and sometimes ends up with a plaster across the bridge of his nose, and when picked up, is known to float on air, do hand stands and assume other theatrical positions.

Even if walls are built without a door around him, The Mysterious Mr. Gnome will still pop up anywhere outside.

A high level Sim in the science career track can perform a scientific experiment on Mysterious Mr. Gnome.

It appears that despite his happy nature of running around a lot, this Gnome, like all others, has nothing at all to do with gardens.

The Mysterious Mr. Gnome is worth §1,000 and is quite a funny fellow to have in a house at night.

Master Manchu, Little Leon and Sultan Sam are all different magic gnomes with the same abilities found in World Adventures.

The Mysterious Mr. Gnome has been spotted in the vicinity of the following mysterious happenings:

Flushing Toilet
Stereo turning on
Watching T.V.
Sleeping under a shade tree
Inside the Fridge
Pointing at death plant with look of fear on it's face
Sitting on bar (probably getting drunk and enjoying the view)
Dancing in front of money trees (stereotypical Russian dance pose)
Sitting on a fountain bench
Leaning over in front of a barbeque grill
Appearing beside a bed that a Sim is asleep in
Sunbathing on an island in the middle of a pool
Kissing another gnome
Making silly faces at a fish in a fish bowl

It has been confirmed that a Sim can have multiple Mr. Gnomes. Try looking and using all techniques to obtain him.

GARDENING HELP, and a little on my new family =]

Okay, I was getting bored of my old family a little, so i started another game with just 1 girl, who wants to have been the girlfrfiend of 10 different sims, lol. She is REALLY lucky tho... coz she found both a rainbow gem and a pink diamond REALLY quickly, in otherwords, she was less than a sims week old (started at young adult).

And now, for some gardening help (link: http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com its a good website for the odd bit of help), here is the gardening help page for how and where to find seeds =]

"In this section of my Sims 3 Gardening Guide, I'll be give some help in finding all the seeds in the Sims 3. If you've read this far, you know that you can grow plants from multiple sources. I'll list the sources here, just to be thorough. Some plants in the Sims 3 do have a level requirement before you can plant them. For example, uncommon plants can't be grown until level 5. So start with some basic cooking ingredients to help you out in the kitchen! Other plants, like the omni plant and cheese plants require opportunities to be completed in order to make them available. Look to the gardening opportunities page for a rundown of the opportunities you need to knock out in order to access the most bizarre plants in the Sims 3.

About Seeds in the Sims 3
People ask about where to find certain seeds for gardening in the Sims 3. The truth is, you've just got to get out there and look. No one can really tell you where to find a specific seed. The good thing is, you can usually see seeds and other collectible items (such as ores, which can be quite valuable) from a high altitude of view.

The special seeds in the Sims 3 are random, so when you find one, you'll never know what it is until you've planted it. So, when you find a special seed spawn point, keep checking back there to find more special seeds, which can be any of the four types.

Rare and uncommon seeds aren't anything to get excited about, as they're usually bell peppers and things like that. The real perk here is that you can sometimes find perfect or outstanding quality seeds that can really get your garden booming, and your bank account stuffed with simoleons.

This means you can get your Sim out in the town and scan the ground for seeds in many locations. Using this tactic, your Sim will even take a cab if they need to, to get to seeds you discover that are far from their current location. Additionally, once you have a seed and make a successful adult plant, you will usually be able to make more of that plant without finding more seeds.

Head over to the plant list for information about special seeds, and other strange things you can grow with gardening in the Sims 3.

Help with Unknown Special Seeds

The only plants that you can't grow with gardening from a store-bought variety are the death flower, life fruit, flame fruit, omni plant and money tree. They can be planted with level 7 gardening.

If you find uncommon or rare seeds, don't get excited unless they are high quality. There's hardly anything rare or special about bell peppers and garlic seeds, as you'll quickly learn from the list.

All seeds you find on the ground can be useful if you are working toward the Perfect Garden lifetime wish. You may find excellent, outstanding or even Perfect seeds just laying around. The only way to know for sure is to look!

Finding Special Seeds in Sunset Valley
You can find spedial seeds at (and outside) the cemetery in Sunset Valley. They are found on both of the long sides. There are plenty to be found there. Check along roads in remote locations, as well. The graveyard should provide all you need if you regularly collect the seeds that spawn there.

Omni Plant
Although you'll find unknown special seeds pretty commonly, you're unlikely to find an omni plant seed until you've completed the Omnificent Plant Opportunity at level 10. This is a chain, which requires you to plant multiple types of high quality plants to complete. It's well worth it because the Omni plant is amazing and you can readily order its seeds through the mail.

About identifying death flower plants, flame fruit bushes, money trees and life fruit plants just after they've sprouted:
Once an unknown special seed has been planted, there are several ways to tell which is which early on. First, the most obvious. Once a sprout has come up, if you mouse over a money tree, you'll be able to tell it's a tree. Likewise, the flame fruit bush will appear as a bush. The last two gardening special plants, the death flower and life fruit plant can be hard to tell apart. They both grow on stakes. The big diference here is that the life fruit plant will require much more water. So much in fact, that it's wilting as soon as it's planted and will require much more frequent waterings thereafter."

Courtney found a Rainbow gem in the catacombs, I beleive she was swinging a cross a nicly placed rope, and grabbed it off a ledge accross the cavern. {She ten went over to the crime job place and found one lying on the ground :@ }

We got a tanzenite gem, which we'd sent off to be cut, back in the post, with a little noteto say it was acctually a Mysterious Mr Gnome in disguise =L (we've ended up with a few now, through the catacombs and hidden ones in gems and ores.)

Mandy got a job at the bookstore, and Janet got a job at the spa.

With only a few days left untill the natural end of her life, Ameilia transfered all of her ownership deeds to Courtney.

Courtney then reached level 10 in gardening.

However, he was saved from death, coz he had a special seed in his inventory, which must have been for a death folwer plant, give one to the grim reaper and you will be given a second (or even hundreth) time.

Ameilia completed the Prolific Writer skill challenge (by writing 20 books). She is also pregnant again. However, Ameilia wants a boy, but Leighton wants a girl. Ameilia would only get 5000 lifetime reward points, but Leighton would get 8500 points for a boy, so it'll be 10 watermelons to eat =]

Courtney learned all she can from the xylophone and peg box

Ameilia bought out the other partners of the bistro for 25000 grand.

Leighton reached level 10 in the athletic skill. He also got a promotion to get away driver.

Ameilia had a baby girl, called Magenta. She had the heavy sleeper trait (i didnt get to choose that one!!) and the genius trait.

Dani had a birthday, and learned to walk talk and use the potty.

Harry reached level 10 of the fishing skill.

Ameilia had a birthday, and is now a fully matured adult.

Victoria's triplets are now teens, as we can see bellow. Erika is in the brown skirt, January is in the pink skirt and Clara is the one with jeans on.

Leighton also had a birthday to an elder, as it turns out, Harry is only a day older then Leighton, so Ameilia is married to someone who is old enough to be her father =S

some thing nice to start off with =] while out searching for rocks and gems, using Harry's collection helper reward (basicly it lights up the gems (as shown) and you can see them from the map view) and found this pretty picture up outside of town beside the old mine =]

This was the house's upstairs, but we needed more space, and i wanted to re-modle it =] (i always get bored of the house, re-modle it and ruin it, or get bored of it again after a while =] )

This is how the house ended up after i re-modled, i got really fed up of it really soon tho =[ but, i found the perfect place in town for them, just need to wait for all of Ameilia's plants to die (can't take them with when they move =[ )

Right, keeping it short and sweet =] Harry has been fishing, is now level 8 i think =] he keeps hookng random old box's when the fish stop biting, and he's caught things like money tree seeds, birthday cakes, shampoo and candles =]

By checking the family tree, it turns out Frances has had a child, a boy called Bubba Brown (LMFAO!!!! I dont get a say in th name!!) he has the friendly and excitable traits.

Leighton has also been doing some fishing.

Ameilia had a baby girl, called her Courtney, she was givin the virtuoso and artistis traits.

Harry got a promotion to five star chef, he's now at the top of the culinary career track =]

Leighton also got a promoation, to level 5 in the athletic career track, to a rookie.

Ameilia got to logic level 5, and is pregnant again =] (she now has th fertility reward, so there may be twins with any luck =] )

Harry has 4 days of the week off, in a row, monday through to thursday, so he went on a 4 day fishing trip =]

Bill had a birthday, and is now a toddler, watch the video below =]

Leighton got a new job, in the criminal career track, as a Decoy, which meant he had to leave his old job.

Ameilia managed to make 3549 quid from cut gems and ingots of gold, that was from about 25 gems roughly, but we did manage to find an uncut pink diamond, which was worth over a grand before being cut, but when it was cut with the briliant cut (classic diamond shape) it was worth over 5 grand =] it was a happy day when it arrived in the post =]

Sarah got a promotion to a sketch artist, she had to take a painting class, as she needs about level 5 for the job =s

Leighton got a promotion to Cut purse (dont ask me what that is) on his first day in the job =D

Leighton and Ameilia had a private wedding and so are nnow married, intime for Ameilia to have her new babie.

Ameilia became a partner of the Spa, so she'll also get a share of it's profits. I'm realising now that maybe you may not know about the whole partner ships thing in sims3, here is what the wikisims site says about it:

"Investments are another way your Sim will be able to earn money over the course of the game. It comprises of Partnerships and Ownership. Both of which will put big holes in your Sims wallet but, overtime, will pay for themselves. Once you have partnered (Become a Partner) or become an owner (Buy out Property) a Partner's Deed or Owner's Deed will be moved into your Sims inventory. As of version 1.3, deeds will form a stack in the inventory, which will have a "Collect All" interaction. Deeds can be transferred between Sims of the same family at anytime (by dragging them out of a Sim's backpack into another Sim), and are automatically transferred to a relative when a Sim dies. You must invest in Partnership first before eligible for Ownership. So, Total Cost of Ownership includes both Cost of Partnership and Cost of Ownership. Profits earned through investment become available at 9:00am each Monday and are not automatically paid. They have to be collected from their respective locations hence traveling will be needed. Although you may own the building in which your Sim works the deed will have no effect on your Sim's career. Strangely, even when you are the owner of a business you cannot use its products or services for free. But it must be fun to be the owner of one of the Business'. You can make it great! When you are the owner of a business you may rename the business, or fire its employees. You can fire family members and friends, although you cannot fire yourself, or the last employee of a business."

Sam moved out of the house, he just didnt like living there =[ oh well, one less mouth to feed =]

and while having a little look, we managed to catch a glimpse of January going home after school one day =] she's grown into quite the little child (i had nothing to do with her clothes or hair or anything =[)

Firstly, a promotion! Connie was promoted to a filing clerk (lol). Sarah also got a promotion, but she was given the option to go into the forensic branch, or the special agent branch. She choose forensic as this will enable her to acheive her lifetime wish, so she was promoted to a wiretap reader.

Although she has only moved next door, we had to go peeping in the windows to discover that Victoria had triplets! (all girls) They were called Erika (athletic and virtuoso traits), Clara (virtuoso and good traits) and January (excitable and loves the outdoors traits).
The first picture shows Erika (the longer hair) and January. The second shows Clara, on her lonesome, in another room. The house looks empty coz you can't see any furniture through the windows, which is just silly =p

Connie became very good friends with Noe Ivy, and they are now boyfriend and girlfriend ^,^ nawww

Franceses very good friend, Arlo Bunch, has moved in, and they are also now boyfriend and girlfriend.

Frances must have been feeling lucky that day, as later on she got a promotion to a lab tech =]

A few days later, Noe finally took up Connies offer and moved in with the family =]
Teh same day, Frances proposed to Arlo, and he said yes!! XD
Sadly, they then moved out into a house of their own (Sarah and Harry think it is because Frances might be pregnant =S)

But, we deffinitly know that Connie IS pregnant!! picture to prove it -->
(she's now in maternity clothes)

After Connie told Noe that she has a bun in the oven, he proposed to her!!! XD ^,^
They then moved out a few days later.

Ameilia was having a donder in the neighbour hood, when she met Leighton Sekemoto, who she soon became friends with =]

Ameilia was previously a partner in the little 24 hour cafe, the bookstore and the supermarket. But, after lots of saving, she bought out the other partners of the supermarket and bookstore, which she is now full owner of both =]

I wasn't really sure of my sims 3 blog would be, but i would go with people that go through blogs to have a look for game help or to see how other people have played the game =]

I got bored and made a couple of sims to ilustrate my point =] however, i couldnt think of what they would look like, so i went into the pre=made sims section of creat-a-sim, and found these 2 characters =] i had to choose their life time wishes, and only 1 music choice was edieted (guys) and 1 trait (girls), try to guess which ones it was =]

Basicly, the main thing is, Nell fell in love. She became best friends with Morgana, then she asked her to break up with her husband, Thornton, who she'd just had a baby with.... But she did! Nell then asked her to move in, which she did, but then Morgana started flirting with Nell LOADS, she'd always got angry at Nell for trying to flirt with her... lol. Anyway, they are now girl friends, and have addopted a child, called Cody (its a girl)

They then moved out to have a life of their own ^,^

Frances got bored with the house, and went out to annoy the neighbour, when she met Arlo Bunch, and they started getting on pretty well =]

Harry managed to complete his lifetimwe wish, he wanted to learn every recepie, and he did, so with all the lifetime reward point, he got the colectionhelper, so that it is soooooo much easier to find seads, rocks, insects etc. He also got the mid life crisis one, so he could change his traits. I kept the natural cook one, the lucky one, and the family orientated one, and replaced mooch and athletic with great kisser and flirty =]

WAAY too much can happen in a few hours of simming, or a few sim days =]

Firstly, Sarah had her birthday to grow into a full proper adult =]

and Victoria also had a birthday, she grew into a young adult =] sadly tho, she inherited the clumsy trait as she didnt get an A in school, so i wasn't aloud to choose a trait for her, as if its MY fault that she didnt study... jeez....

Anyway, Victoria went around to the neighbours house, and hit things off with Jared Frio =]

Anyway, yet more birthdays... =/ Sadly, none of the traits given were choosen by me, yet again i seem to be getting punished due to my sims choosing not to study and get As =@
so yeah, Frances got the dislikes children trait when she grew into a teen, Nell got the virtuoso trait (which isnt really all that bad...), and Connie got the unflirty trait (darn, i was going to turn her intot hooker.. damn sims ruining my plans =@)

Victoria decided to move out, and moved in with Jared, since he is now her boyfriend... may have to change that ;)

More birthday, because i'm too lazy to wait, i get birthday cakes from the store and age them earyl =D

Frances has been having urges to steal candy from babies (XD) but her new birthday trait is she is now a coward, and her lifetimw wish is to see the ghost of a wealthy spouse (LMAO!!!!)

Nell has been out and about, and has met up with Morgana Wolff, who i think is her new friend =]

lmao!!! Ameilia was trying to blow the candles out on her cake, when it burst into flames!!!! the video cut out after a minute tho, but i managed to get a longer one after =]

Another thing, the triplets all learned how to walk, talk, and control their bladders =]

A few hours later...

There was MANY birthdays =]

Frances, Connie and Nell all grew into children, Frances got the mooch trait, Nell added the Kleptomaniac trait to her colection and Connie got the frugal one, <--just coz i like the word =]

Victoria also grew up, into a teenager, I gave her the flirty trait =]

And Harry finally grew into a mature adult =]

Ameilia also left her part time job, for a full time job in the science career track, as a test subject =]

Mauled by wild animals in catacombs and too many birthdays...

Once upon a time, Harry was exploring the catacombs in his local graveyard mosoleum. He had swum across a mini lake, and gone very deep into them, when he got mauled by a bear!!! LMAO!!! But on the plus side, he found an emeraldd =]

Anyway, Vic had her birthday,

yeah, the reason they all freeze at the end, its coz the pop up poped up for me to choose a new trait for Vic, i gave her the computre whiz one, so she can use a computer to hack for money at night =] you can get thousands of § (simolions) =]

The trpilets are now toddlers, learning how to walk, talk and have some degree of bladder control. Nell had dark blue eyes and short brown hair. Connie has pruple eyes and long brown hair. Frances has brown eyes and short ginger hair. see pictures below =]

aren't they soo annoying? =] if they have any more children, we aren't going to be able to afford them all, I'm afraid I may have no choice but to sell them all for scientific experiments XD

Firstly, Ameilia completed the writting skill chalenge to become a specialist, she got it in the fiction genre of books, by writing a minimum of 5, and is now a specialist at them. Just need to get her to level 10 to get the big bucks rolling in from Romance novels =]

Secondaly, Victoria maxed out her levels on the peg box, and xylophone, so she'll start at level 3 for logic and i think guitar when she grows up to a child =]

And lastly, Sarah gave birth!!!! XD but, since she'd eaten the apples, i thought she'd have a boy atleast, but no, it was 3 girls!!! (am i getting mixed up? is it watermelons for boys, and apples for girls? i thought it was the other way around... will check and see...)
anyway... the first is called Frances, i gave her the evil and genius trails. The second is called Nell, she got the absent minded and easily amused traits. and lastly there is Connie, she got the good and friendly traits =]

i'll get a pic of the triplets once they've grown up to toddlers, they all look the same atm =/

Victoria is now a ginger, violet eyed toddeler!!! She has learned to walk, talk, and not pee her nappies =D see bellow

Also.... Sarah is pregnant, AGAIN!!!! but this time she wants a boy, so 2 apples have been eaten, so we should have a boy (or two or three (she has the fertility treatment trait =D)) in a few days. check her bellow, working on making their Nanowave cook faster =]

Sarah had a baby!!!! it was a girl, she is called Victoria, she had the loner trait already (lmao) but I gave her the excitment (FTW) one too lol!!!!

Once upon a time, there was this sim family.
In the family, I have,
*the daddy, Harry Brown, a young adult with 157 days before being a real adult,
*the mummy, Sarah Brown, also a young adult and 182 days before she is a real adult.
They have a daughter, a long red headed tean called Ameilia, who has 100 days before she becomes a young adult.
(yes im playing on epic length... 960 day long life)

currently, they are REALLY broke, i had to sell some of the floor tiles from the ground floor coz i didnt have enought to buy a crib ={ coz Sarah is pregnant! Dunno how long before it is delivered.

I'll try to get some pics of the family for you, who ever you are =p

Basicaly, to keep Mr H happy, its basicaly homework, but on sims 3 =D

btw, does anyone else on sims 3 have to problem that the game and their laptop/computer turns its self oof, as in just goes blank, half way through saving? then when you go bk on, everything is gone?!? ita uber annoying!! if anyone has a patch for it, i'd be sooo happy =D
